About Us
Headlands Consulting was formed in 2007 to provide an independent, flexible and targeted capability in machinery safety and conformity for customers in all industrial sectors, through a network of experienced engineers and safety practitioners.
We are listed on the HSE website as a provider of useful information, advice, training, and services.
The machinery safety experience available to Headlands Consulting dates from 1993, beginning with the launch of a Machinery Directive workbook. Since then over 250 organisations have used our engineers' services, benefiting from independent, practical and knowledgeable help provided by engineers with direct experience of machinery and control system design, and production operations.
Because we have hands-on manufacturing and machinery experience, we ensure customers receive a practical and systematic service that gets the task completed rapidly and without fuss.
For small contracts such as CE marking of a machine for the Machinery Directive an engineer will typically spend a half-day conducting inspection and test on site, followed by risk assessment and documentation.
